Summary:
WegRy Drive Out is a multilingual site available in Afrikaans and English.
It is a single site and translation is handled by Drupal's build-in multilingual functions.
Majority of the site is for past magazines articles and sections for off-road trail information, gear, vehicles and recipies.
Users can also download packing lists and routes information or find a 4x4 club.
Social networking consisting of blogs, forums and users can add their own stories.
Galleries are provided for images and video links.

The project was developed with the team of 2 Stroke Interactive to which I was contracted as head developer for a variety of projects.
Technical:
Major modules:
All the content displays were build using Views and Panels modules. These two modules, together with the content construction kit (CCK) module are probably the most importent and useful modules for building content intensive sites like this.
The theme was created from scratch using the base theme Zen.
Google maps are rendered with the gmap and location module.
All comment settings and other user input are monitored for Spam using Mollom.
Custom code and modifications:
Weather section is based on Wunderground module that has been extensively changed to use cookies to remember a users' location and show 3 day forecasting.
Section search functions is a custom module so that Hierarchical select can be used for Exposed forms for views (At time of writing, this is being incorporated into Hierarchical select so my module will be removed).
Breadcrumbs is custom build based on main menu links and is in syncrony with the data being send to the Doubleclick advertising server.
